Video game, marketing company moves headquarters to Nashville
ZOI Interactive Technologies, a company that blends
computer gaming with marketing, is moving its headquarters from Las
Vegas to Nashville.
The 18-month-old company is
set to launch its first major product and complete the purchase of a
Lebanon-based online game company, and it wants to consolidate all of
its operations in Nashville, said Safa Homayoon, ZOI's chief operations
officer.
The company will have 26 employees based in Cummins
Station when the consolidation is complete. Homayoon said he expects to
double the number of employees soon as the operation ramps up.
The company has
leased 16,000 square feet of space in Cummins Station near downtown. It
has 16 people based there now and will move five more from its Las
Vegas office. It is also in the process of buying Tournament Games, a
Lebanon-based online game company.
ZOI's
product is technology driven. It includes computer games and
interactive systems that its customers can use to build brand
awareness. The CDs that ZOI's clients give their customers have the
client's logo and name on them. Interactive games feature the
companies' products, and there's advertising embedded in the games.
Nashville seemed like the logical place to get the business going, Homayoon said.
Nashville's relatively
low cost of living was a major selling point, allowing the firm to keep
overhead low while attracting qualified people to the area, he said.
"Our entire development team is not from Nashville," Homayoon said.
"We've recruited every single developer into Nashville."
